Azerbaijan sees 4.5 percent rise in gas exports

“In January 2024, Azerbaijan’s gas exports increased by 4.5% compared to the same period last year,” said Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov.
Azerbaijan exported 1.1 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe, 0.8 billion cubic meters to Türkiye, and 0.4 billion cubic meters to Georgia, Minister Shahbazov emphasized.
He also highlighted that the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) supplied Türkiye with 0.4 billion cubic meters of gas from January to February.
“Additionally, in January of this year, oil-condensate production amounted to 2.5 million tons, with a transportation volume of 2.1 million tons. Gas production in January reached 4.3 billion cubic meters, with 2.3 billion cubic meters exported, marking a 30 million cubic meters increase,” the minister added.
