Aghdam city gears up for presidential election

Preparations are underway for the snap presidential election scheduled for February 7 in three precincts of Constituency Election Commission No. 118 in the liberated territories of the Aghdam district. Precinct No. 57 was established at the Aghdam Conference Center, precinct No. 58 in the building of "Azerenerji" OJSC, and precinct No. 59 in the Kangarli village.
“The preparations for voting in the polling station have been fully completed, with 1414 voters registered in precinct No. 57. The polling station is equipped with necessary technical and methodical resources, including voter lists and information boards. Voting booths have been set up to allow voters to express their choices freely. Designated areas for secretaries, members, and election observers have been arranged at the polling stations. The distribution of notifications to voters regarding the date, time, and location of voting has been successfully completed,” Chair of the Precinct Election Commission Arzu Rahimova told AZERTAC's regional correspondent.
"We feel immense pride that our lands have been liberated from occupation and that the election will be held in these territories for the first time in 30 years. This is a historic event for Azerbaijan, for our people. We are participants and witnesses of this landmark event," said the chairman of the precinct election commission.
Voters in the city of Aghdam are also displaying enthusiasm for the upcoming election. Engineer Rashad Gasimov, who is involved in the construction of Aghdam Mugam Center, said: "I feel proud that I, as an engineer, have contributed to the reconstruction of the liberated territories. I am also happy that we will vote in the presidential election held in the city of Aghdam in a few days. There is a wave of enthusiasm among the construction workers. May God bless our state!”
