Azerbaijan will be actively engaged in 5th World Nomad Games, says Youth and Sports Minister

“Azerbaijan will be actively involved in the 5th World Nomad Games scheduled for September 8-14 this year in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan,” said Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov as he met with Kazakh Ambassador to the country Alim Bayel.
Ambassador Alim Bayel noted that the games’ program boasts 20 competitive and 10 demonstration sports, featuring horse racing, traditional wrestling, martial arts, archery, and more.
Underscoring the significance of Azerbaijan’s involvement in this large-scale event, the Kazakh ambassador invited Minister Gayibov to watch the Games in Astana. The Azerbaijani Minister accepted the invitation to visit the Kazakh capital.
The diplomat also stressed that the 5th World Nomad Games would be held within the framework of Kazakhstan’s chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), once again bringing together the entire Turkic World. He further noted that the event would contribute to promoting and preserving unique traditions of the Turkic-speaking peoples.
