Baku, January 25, AZERTAC
Turkish Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacir on Friday will hold a videoconference with Alper Gezeravci, the first-ever Turkish space traveler, connecting with him at the International Space Station, high above Earth, according to Anadolu Agency.
The conference will also be attended by competitors and entrepreneurs from Türkiye's premier technology event TEKNOFEST, Kacir said in a statement.
Continuing his orbital mission since taking off and docking last week, Gezeravci is also expected to hold online discussions with students, academics, and journalists, said the ministry.
Gezeravci will also establish live connections with middle and high school students studying in Turkish cities, it added.
Planetariums in Istanbul's Taksim district and Ankara's Kizilay district will remain open until Gezeravci's return from the ISS.
There will be briefings on Türkiye's space mission, and film screenings will be held.
Science centers across Türkiye will also be open for visits by students and young people during their current semester holiday.
