Three referees and sporting director of Uzbek football club banned for life from football activities

A scandal has been revealed in Uzbekistan with three referees and the sporting director of the Kokand-1912 football club, who organized a match-fixing, according to Uzbekistan Daily.
According to the results of an investigation, the sporting director of Kokand-1912 Shukhrat Muminov in March 2023 offered a bribe to the referees of the Uzbek Football Center Khusan Muzaffarov, Obid Jumaev and Jasur Rustamov for the victory of his club.
A fixed match was recorded in the game between «Aral» and “Kokand-1912” within the framework of the Uzbekistan Pro League.
All referees who violated the Association's disciplinary code received a lifelong ban from football activities.
The sporting director of «Kokand-1912» Shukhrat Muminov was also found guilty and suspended from any activities related to football for life.
