Baku, November 16, AZERTAC "Heydar Aliyev and peace process in the Caucasus" prepared in English for higher schools by Professor Irada Huseynova, head of the "History of the Caucasus Peoples" department of Baku State University, a well-known Aliyev scholar and Caucasus scholar, doctor of historical sciences, Baku State University, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in 2023 fundamental textbook was published.The textbook focuses on the policy of the Great Leader of the Azerbaijani people, the architect of the national statehood, Heydar Aliyev, towards the establishment of peace and tranquility in the Caucasus, a unique region of the world, distinguished by its geopolitical and geostrategic position between East and West, North and South. It is dedicated to the scientific analysis and evaluation of the measures carried out, developing the idea of the "Common Caucasian House", and finally to the stages of successful continuation and development of the "Peace in the homeland, peace in the region" policy in the modern era.The book "Heydar Aliyev and peace process in the Caucasus", which is considered the first experiment in Caucasian studies and Azerbaijani historiography, was simultaneously republished in English and presented to the scientific community as a continuation and an integral part of the research conducted in the direction of a comprehensive investigation of the rich political and statecraft activities of the National Leader. The purpose of the textbook is Heydar Aliyev's attitude and position on the repressive measures implemented by the former USSR empire against the peoples of the Caucasus, the establishment of a dialogue between the parties for the fair resolution of the conflicts in the Caucasus, the strengthening of Azerbaijan-Georgia strategic partnership relations, peace and cooperation in the Caucasus, the idea of "Common Caucasian House". It consists of studying the activity and role of Heydar Aliyev in the development, and restoration of the historical Great Silk Road, the protection of national and moral values in the Caucasus.Elegantly printed in high polygraphic quality, the textbook consists of an introduction, twelve chapters, a conclusion, a rich bibliography and a bibliography. One of the main merits of the textbook is the provision of comprehensive summaries containing its content and structure in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages. This increases the possibility of international use of the work.
