2023 Ballon d'Or nominees unveiled

The 2023 Ballon d'Or list of nominations was unveiled Wednesday by the French news magazine France Football, Anadolu Agency reported.
Lionel Messi is back on the list, which also includes Manchester City's Norwegian star Erling Haaland and the 2022 Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema.
The 2023 Ballon d'Or nominees include Inter Miami's Lionel Messi, who holds a record seven Ballon d'Or titles, along with Manchester City's Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland, Ruben Dias, Josko Gvardiol and Kevin De Bruyne, Inter Milan's Nicolo Barella and Lautaro Martinez, Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr., Jude Bellingham and Luka Modric, Al-Hilal's Yassine Bounou, Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann, Barcelona's Ilkay Gundogan and Robert Lewandowski, Bayern Munich's Harry Kane, Kim Min-Jae and Jamal Musiala, Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe and Randal Kolo Muani, Napoli's Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Victor Osimhen, Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez, Arsenal's Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka, Manchester United's Andre Onana, Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and the reigning award winner Al-Ittihad's Karim Benzema.
The 2023 Yachine Trophy, which is awarded to the best goalkeeper in the world, include Al-Hilal's Yassine Bounou, Real Madrid's Thibaut Courtois, Manchester City's Ederson, Fenerbahce's Dominik Livakovic, AC Milan's Mike Maignan, Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez, Manchester United's Andre Onana, Arsenal's Aaron Ramsdale, Lens' Brice Samba and Barcelona's Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.
The 2023 Women's Ballon d'Or nominees include Barcelona's Aitana Bonmati, Patricia Guijarro, Asisat Oshoala, Salma Paralluelo, Fridolina Rolfo and Mapi Leon, Chelsea's Millie Bright, Real Madrid's Linda Caicedo, Hayley Raso and Olga Carmona, Aston Villa's Rachel Daly and Daphne Van Domselaar, Kansas City's Debinha, Olympique Lyon's Kadidiatou Diani and Wendie Renard, Manchester United's Mary Earps and Hinata Miyazawa, Manchester City's Yui Hasegawa, Khadija Shaw and Jill Roord, Arsenal's Amanda Ilestedt and Katie McCabe, Chelsea's Sam Kerr and Guro Reiten, Wolfsburg's Lena Oberdorf, Alexandra Popp and Ewa Pajor, Levante's Alba Redondo, Portland Thorns' Sophia Smith and Bayern Munich's Georgia Stanway.
The nominees for the 2023 Kopa Trophy, which is awarded to the best young player of the year, include Barcelona's Alejandro Balde, Pedri and Gavi, Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga, Manchester United's Rasmus Hojlund, Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala, Benfica's Antonio Silva, RB Leipzig's Xavi Simons and Lens' Elye Wahi.
Also known as the Golden Ball Award, the Ballon d'Or, which has been held annually by France Football since 1956, is given to the sport’s best player.
