Emmy Awards postponed amid ongoing Hollywood strike

Baku, July 28, AZERTAC
The upcoming Primetime Emmy Awards have been postponed due to the ongoing writers and actors’ strike, according to the Metro.
Earlier this month, Hollywood officially went on strike after US union The Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists voted unanimously to walk out, following weeks of unsuccessful negotiations.
Their decision followed the decision by the Writers Guild of America to go on strike a few months earlier.
While the Emmys were set to be held on September 18, it’s now been reported that they’ve been pushed back.
Vendors have reportedly been told that the ceremony will not be going ahead as planned in two months’ time.
However, with that date now less than two months away, vendors, producers and others involved with the event needed have started to be informed that their services will need to be pushed back.
That has also been the case for the Creative Arts Emmys, originally scheduled to take place on September 9 and 10.
This postponement marks only the second time the awards have been delayed in their 74-year history.
