BHOS, Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology discuss opportunities for cooperation

Rector of Baku Higher Oil School of SOCAR (BHOS) Elmar Gasimov has met with Vice-Rector of Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology (Uzbekistan) Anvar Shernaev.
During the meeting, Elmar Gasimov informed Anvar Shernaev in detail about BHOS, noting that Baku Higher Oil School, established within SOCAR by the Decree of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, has become one of the most prestigious higher educational institutions in a short span of time and that over the past two years the university has set a record in the number of Presidential Scholars. Elmar Gasimov also gave information about the modern learning conditions and research environment created at BHOS, as well as about the successes achieved by the students and graduates of the university. The rector emphasized that education process at BHOS includes intensive industry-focused practical training.
The vice-rector, in turn, gave information about Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, stressing that they were interested in cooperation with Baku Higher Oil School. Anvar Shernaev noted that they intended to use Baku Higher Oil School’s experience in creating the Faculty of Oil and Gas at Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology.
The meeting also broadly discussed issues of perspective cooperation, including in the field of student and teacher exchange.
