Bucharest, May 24, AZERTAC Romania's national news agency "AGERPRES" has published an article by Azerbaijani ambassador Huseyn Najafov headlined "Imadaddin Nasimi – the path to human perfection." The article provides the detailed information about Nasimi's life and creative activity. “Nasimi's spiritual and philosophical ideas call humanity to unite around common values and fight against injustice. The poet's works are widely spread in Azerbaijan, the Middle East, Iraq, Syria, Central Asia, and have a strong influence not only on Azerbaijani literature, but also on all Turkic literature since the 15th century. The poets` manuscripts are kept in a number of libraries all over the world,” the article underlines. The article drew the readers` attention that decrees of President Ilham Aliyev "On celebrating the 650th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet Imadaddin Nasimi" dated November 15, 2018 and on declaring 2019 as the "Year of Nasimi" in Azerbaijan on January 11 is an expression of the incomparable value the head of the country gave to the poet and to the culture of Azerbaijan in general.The first festival of Nasimi poetry was held in Azerbaijan in September 2018.
