Baku, May 17, AZERTAC Speaker of Azerbaijan`s Parliament Sahiba Gafarova has met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco Rachid Talbi El Alami, who arrived in Azerbaijan to attend Milli Majlis special session dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Sahiba Gafarova noted that Azerbaijan attached great importance to the development of relations with Morocco, adding that shared religious and cultural values positively influence the two countries` relations. The Milli Majlis Speaker emphasized that the 30th anniversary of establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two countries was celebrated last year. Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco Rachid Talbi El Alami hailed the work done by Great Leader Heydar Aliyev for the people and state of Azerbaijan. He noted that he was happy that the Heydar Aliyev-founded policy had been successfully continued today by President Ilham Aliyev, and Azerbaijan had reached the current level of development, achieved progress in all spheres of life and grown into a powerful state. The two exchanged views on the prospects for the development of bilateral relations and inter-parliamentary ties.
