Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov has met with a delegation led by Rector of the National Defense University of the Republic of Türkiye Professor Erhan Afyoncu, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
Minister Zakir Hasanov greeted the guests and expressed his satisfaction with seeing them in Azerbaijan. The Minister noted the high level of cooperation with the fraternal country in the field of military education, as in other areas.
In his turn, Professor E.Afyoncu expressed his satisfaction to visit Azerbaijan again, and thanked for the hospitality shown. He emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries in all fields, including military education.
The meeting discussed prospects for the development of joint cooperation in the military-educational field.
Then, the Turkish delegation met with First Deputy Minister of Defense - Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev.
During the meeting, it was noted that the mutual exchange of experience with the Turkish National Defense University has a positive impact on increasing the level of professionalism of military personnel in the Azerbaijan Army. The sides also held detailed exchange of views on other issues.
