Baku, April 7, AZERTAC “Today`s event is of great importance in terms of discussing issues of cooperation between our countries,” said Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov in his video message at the opening ceremony of the 9th Meeting of the National Commissions for UNESCO of the TURKSOY Member States co-organized by Azerbaijan’s National Commission for UNESCO under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), ADA University and the Institute for Development and Diplomacy (IDD) of the University.FM Bayramov noted that the close relations of brotherhood and friendship between the member states are connected with common roots, traditions, language, religion and a number of holy monuments. Emphasizing that Azerbaijan always supports the mission of UNESCO, the FM said that Azerbaijan’s National Commission for UNESCO jointly participated in all research works. “Azerbaijan plays a very important role in the world in terms of promoting intercultural unity, and maintains cooperation with UNESCO in educational, cultural and other spheres,” the minister underlined.
