“Goodbye Schmidt!” movie by Azerbaijani director featured in Saint Petersburg

“Goodbye Schmidt!”, an Azerbaijani movie dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the resettlement of ethnic Germans in Azerbaijan, was screened at the Central City Library named after V. V. Mayakovsky in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
The movie was made in the genre of tragicomedy at Mozalan studio by order of the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan.
Director of the film is Ali-Sattar Guliyev, screenwriter - Rustam Babazadeh, director of phography - Nadir Mehdiyev, production designer - Aziz Mammadov, composer - Isfar Sarabski, executive producer - Tarlan Babayev and artistic director - Lala Kazimova.
The screenplay descripts events that happened to German Emil Schmidt who was Azerbaijan-born.
Starring in the film were people's artists Rasim Balayev, Rafiq Aliyev, Gurban Ismailov, Shamil Suleymanli, honored artists Zemfira Sadygova, Rasim Jafarov, actors Azer Aydemir and others.
