Baku, March 15, AZERTAC By the decision of the International Academy of Sciences of Turkic World Studies (TDAUIA), the well-renowned Azerbaijani scientist, academician Ahad Janahmadov has been awarded the "GOLD STAR" medal for special merits in development of education and science in the Turkic world.Ahad Janahmadov was also elected a full member of TDAUIA.Ahad Janahmadov is a well-known mechanic-philosopher, head of the Department of Transport Mechanics of the Azerbaijan National Aviation Academy, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Engineering Academy. He is an active member of several international academies, an author of more than 30 monographs, 3 scientific discoveries and about 450 scientific articles and patents. His fundamental works have been translated into English, published in USA and Europe, and received international recognition. The scientist is a Laureate of International Prizes and was awarded many orders and medals of foreign countries.
