Baku, March 7, AZERTAC Co-organized by the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, a session was held at the Military Lyceum named after Jamshid Nakhchivanski to educate the youth in the spirit of military patriotism and increase their interest for military service, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.The session was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Science and Education, as well as military tutors of secondary general education schools.The session participants first visited the Heydar Aliyev Center in the territory of Military Lyceum named after Jamshid Nakhchivanski. The visitors laid flowers in front of the bust of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and paid tribute to the memory of the Great Leader.Visitors were given detailed information about the center's rich exposition. Historical documents, photos, books reflecting various moments of the life and activities of the National Leader aroused great interest of the guests. The participants highlighted the unique activities of the Great Leader in all fields, including the field of army development.Then, flowers were laid in front of the monument erected in honor of Jamshid Nakhchivanski, the brave son of the Azerbaijani nation.The participants then familiarized themselves with weapons, items and food supplies training points organized in the territory of the military lyceum.The memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.A video about the progress, power of the Azerbaijan Army and the Victory gained in the 44-day Patriotic War was demonstrated.The meeting heard speeches on various topics, as well as questions were answered. The speakers highlighted the significance of the successful army-development policy carried out by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, and the importance of social protection of military personnel and their families. They also mentioned the activities of schoolchildren in social networks, the protection of moral and national-spiritual values, as well as the role of moral values in instilling the spirit of patriotism among the youth.It was noted that recently the number of young people who want to be admitted to special educational institutions has increased. It was pointed out that the young generation's interest in the military art is a positive result of their upbringing in the spirit of military patriotism.In the end, the participants watched a video about the admission rules to special educational institutions.
