Paris reveres Khojaly genocide victims VIDEO

A commemorative event marking 31st anniversary of the Khojaly genocide has been arranged in Paris co-organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in France and Permanent Delegation to UNESCO with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Leyla Abdullayeva, Permanent Delegate to UNESCO Elman Abdullayev, Milli Majlis member, Head of the Working Group on Azerbaijan-France Interparliamentary Relations, Department Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Soltan Mammadov said that the genocide in the city of Khojaly had been the bloodiest page in history of the armed conflict started by Armenia against Azerbaijan.
Ambassador Leyla Abdullayeva emphasized that the cry of Khojaly must be heard all over the world. According to her, on the initiative of the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, "Justice for Khojaly!" international campaign has been launched since 2008. Thanks to this campaign, parliaments of 17 countries, 30 US states and 2 international organizations recognized the Khojaly tragedy as genocide, the diplomat underlined.
The memorial ceremony was attended by ambassadors accredited to France, permanent delegates to UNESCO, Turkish Ambassador to France Ali Onaner, permanent delegate of Türkiye to UNESCO Gulnur Aybet, diplomats, representatives of the general public, as well as the Azerbaijani community.
