Ilhan Mansiz`s jersey up for auction for Turkish quake victims

Turkish former professional footballer Ilhan Mansiz announced he has auctioned jersey he wore in the 2002 FIFA World Cup`s quarter-final match against Senegal to donate the proceeds to quake victims in Turkiye.
“The initial price of the jersey is 1,000,000 Turkish Lira,” Mansiz wrote about it on his social network accounts.
The match between Turkiye and Senegal was played at Osaka Nagai Stadium in Japan on June 22, 2002. In the quarter-final, Turkiye came up against a spirited Senegal and with the game goalless and was nearing towards a penalty shootout, before Mansiz expertly steered Umit Davala's cross past Tony Sylva for a 94th-minute “golden goal” that sparked wild celebrations in Turkiye.
