Economy Minister: Non-oil and gas sector accounts for 50% of state budget revenues
Baku, February 10, AZERTAC
“Despite the positive dynamics of oil and gas prices last year, the non-oil and gas revenues have accounted for 50 percent of the state budget revenues,” said Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov at the conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev on the theme “Heydar Aliyev and the tax system of Azerbaijan: towards new challenges”.
The minister stressed the importance of continuing to maintain the non-oil export growth trajectory. “We have surpassed $3 billion. However, the figure is not big when compared with our total export. At the same time, looking at the dynamics, we were talking about $1.7 billion three years ago, but now we have reached $3 billion. Our target is to continue this at a high pace,” the minister emphasized.
