Baku, January 31, AZERTAC Ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan Junichi Wada has visited a cement plant of Holcim Azerbaijan to get familiarized with the cement products and SD initiatives of the company. During the meeting, the ambassador discussed with the Holcim team on Alternative Fuel Resources, Waste management and Recycling construction demolition waste activities. In parallel with the core company business, the ambassador was interested in Holcim CSR actions related to Women Empowerment initiatives for communities. He was impressed by visiting the Women's Community Centre in Umid and talking with women about their activities. At the end of the visit, he took part in the planting of tree actions at the plant territory. It is a traditional event in the frame of Holcim/Office go green initiative. As a follow-up to the meeting, the ambassador said he's ready to build a partnership with Holcim to promote sustainable development initiatives in Azerbaijani society.
