Baku, January 11, AZERTAC “So far, 116 entrepreneurship entities have obtained the status of a resident in the industrial zones, of which 65 have already started operating. In 2022, the enterprises carried out sales worth 2.9 billion AZN whilst 1 billion AZN of total sales have been exported,” Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy said on Twitter. “Compared to 2021, the figure has increased by 20.6% and the export – by 10.08%. More than 10,400 jobs have been created in the industrial zones to this day. In addition to the existing projects, nearly 460 million AZN are expected to be invested, and over 4,200 jobs are to be created,” the minister noted.
