Czech Republic preparing to hand over T-72 tanks to Ukraine
Baku, January 10, AZERTAC
Prague is preparing to hand over a batch of modernized T-72 tanks to Ukraine, Czech PM Petr Fiala said in a Twitter post on Jan. 9.
Fiala personally signed the barrel of one of the tanks, writing a short message of support to Ukrainian troops.
“On (one of) the T-72 tank, which will go to Ukraine, I wrote a short message to the brave Ukrainian defenders,” said Fiala.
“I believe that the Ukrainians will win the fight against Russian aggressors.”
He added that Ukraine will receive a TREVA 30 armored recovery vehicle.
“During my visit to Czech Excalibur army arsenal, I also had a chance to christen the new TREVA 30 recovery vehicle, which can help Ukraine in the future,” said the PM.
