Gunay Afandiyeva visits Eurasian National University of Kazakhstan

President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva has visited the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University to meet with Rector of the university Yerlan Sydykov as part of her official visit to Kazakhstan.
At the meeting, Rector Yerlan Sydykov stated that he was very pleased to welcome the president of the Foundation to the university for the first time. The rector said that among the main missions of the university is to attract students to science and education, as well as to strengthen the feelings of patriotism in young people and introduce them to all-Turkic values. Yerlan Sydykov touched on the importance of the relations of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation with various universities. The rector hailed the activity of the Foundation and emphasized that the university is ready to cooperate with the organization.
President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva noted that the extensive study of the centuries-old culture of the Turkic world is always in the center of attention of the organization. Gunay Afandiyeva spoke about the regular gathering of Turkologists, scientists, educators of Turkic and other nations within the framework of the projects implemented by the Foundation. Noting that the Foundation attaches special importance to cooperation with universities, she drew attention to the cooperative relations established with scientific and educational institutions of member and observer states of the organization, as well as a number of foreign countries.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for the development of mutual relations and agreed to commit to a Memorandum of Cooperation between the organization and the university.
Gunay Afandiyeva also visited the Museum of History of Turkic Writing created under the university. The president of the Foundation, who got acquainted with the "Kültegin" atrium and various written inscriptions of the ancient Turkic peoples, was informed about the displayed exhibits.
