"Make Yourself at Home" group exhibition opens in Baku

Ta(r)dino 6 Art Platform will host a "Make Yourself at Home" group exhibition by Azerbaijani and German women artists - Tora Aghabayova, Shahnaz Aghayeva, Irina Eldarova, Rita Geissler, Mirjam Kroker, Hanne Lange, Leyla Rzayeva, Shalala Salamzadeh, Lisa Wölfel. Through their art, the artists invite the visitors to reflect on the meaning of hospitality and how to define home. Many of the works presented in this exhibition result from collaboration between Azerbaijani and German artists titled "The Assembly of Friendship" that started in September. This programme is organized by Ta(r)dino 6 Art Platform in partnership with Kultur Aktiv (Germany) and funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.
The first stage of "The Assembly of Friendship" project consisted of a two-week residency in Germany. During that time, 9 Azerbaijani female artists and art workers had meetings with artists and visits to cultural institutions in Berlin, Dresden and Leipzig. The programme was concluded by a 2.5-day conference and an interim exhibition in Dresden titled "Məclisi-Üns” and dedicated to Azerbaijani poet Khurshidbanu Natavan.
As part of the second stage, a group of German artists are visiting Baku for professional and institutional visits and the opening of the "Make Yourself at Home'' group exhibition. The opening will take place on December 16. The exhibition will last until January 14, 2023.
