Azerbaijani chess players make successful start to Men`s World Team Championship in Jerusalem

Azerbaijani chess players won their first two matches at the 2022 Men's World Team Chess Championship in Jerusalem, with Shahriyar Mammadyarov achieving two wins.
Azerbaijan currently lead the six-team Pool B, by beating Uzbekistan 2.5-1.5 and the United States 3-1.
Azerbaijan will today face India and Poland in Rounds 3 and 4 respectively.
At the end of five rounds, the first four teams in each pool will advance to the quarterfinals. The final match of the competition, organized by the International Chess Federation (FIDE), will take place on November 25.
