Foreign military attachés accredited to Azerbaijan pay tribute to victims of Ganja terror

Ganja, October 14, AZERTAC

Foreign military attachés accredited to Azerbaijan, as part of their trip to the city of Ganja, have visited the Ganja memorial complex to pay tribute to the victims of Armenia’s missile attacks on Ganja city and put flowers at the memorial.
During the Patriotic War, on October 4, 5, 8, 11 and 17, the city of Ganja was hit by the Armenian armed forces from "Tochka-U", "Smerch", "SCUD" and other various missiles. As a result, 26 civilians, including 6 children and 10 women were killed, with 175 civilians, including 32 children, being heavily injured.
Azerbaijan is among one of the most mine-contaminated countries in the world. During 2 years after the Second Karabakh War, more than 250 Azerbaijani citizens were killed or severely injured as a result of landmine explosions.
The foreign military attachés also familiarized themselves with the rich heritage of Azerbaijan’s great poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi, as they visited the Mausoleum of Nizami Ganjavi.
