Yashil Bazaar – Baku’s largest food market, experience a world of flavours and aromas from diverse corners of Azerbaijan
Baku, October 12, AZERTAC
Baku's Yashil Bazaar is one of the largest food bazaars in the Caucasus and the best place to explore a world of Azerbaijani tastes and aromas.
Located a little further from the city centre, Yashil Bazaar (Azerbaijani for Green Bazaar) is Baku’s largest food bazaar packed with organic (and often exotic) fruit and vegetables, herbs and spices, nuts and dried fruits, juices, compotes and jams, as well as local delicacies like caviar and saffron.
This is one of the most popular food shopping spots among Baku locals.
In its series of Postcards from Azerbaijan, Euronews also highlighted Yashil Bazaar.
Euronews' Sergio Cantone said that known locally as the Green Market, Yashil Bazaar is Baku’s biggest.
