President of International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation holds a number of meetings in Poland

President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva has met with Mufti of Poland Tomasz Miśkiewicz, the head of the Tatar community living there, as part of her working trip to the Republic of Poland.
The meeting was also attended by the ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Hungary to Poland and the deputy ambassador of Kazakhstan to Poland, as well as representatives of the Tatar community.
At the meeting, discussions were held on studying and preserving the centuries-old historical and cultural heritage of the Tatars, ethnic minorities of Turkic origin, who have been living in Poland since the 14th century.
The President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Gunay Afandiyeva, stated that the preservation of the culture of the Tatars and Karaims living in Europe, including Lithuania and Poland, is in the interest of the Foundation, and spoke about the projects implemented by the organization in this direction.
Mufti of Poland Tomasz Miśkiewicz, recalling the meetings held with the President of the Foundation last year, as well as joint visits to the city of Białystok and the Sokoliki region, which are densely populated by Tatars, highly appreciated the activity of the organization in the direction of promotion and furthering of the ancient cultural values of the Turkic people. Tomasz Miśkiewicz spoke about the religious and social life of the Tatars in the country and informed about the protection and advancing of the material and spiritual monuments belonging to them.
The importance of cooperation regarding the promotion of Turkic culture in the European space was mentioned in the discussions.
President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva also met with the rector of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, Klaudiusz Baran, as part of her visit to Poland.
During the meeting, President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva talked about the organization's cooperation with various educational institutions in the direction of promoting the centuries-old cultural heritage of the Turkic people. She emphasized the importance of implementing future joint projects between the Foundation and Warsaw Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, one of the oldest and largest universities in Poland and Europe.
Klaudiusz Baran, rector of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, highly appreciated the work done by the Foundation in the direction of advancing the material and moral values of the Turkic world at the international level. Speaking about the richness of the music of the European and Turkic world, the Rector noted that the University is pleased to cooperate with the Foundation.
The meeting continued with an exchange of views on the implementation of joint projects in the future.
