Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center extends registration period for trainings

Taking into account numerous appeals, Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center has extended the registration period for trainings to be held until 20 October 2022. Candidates wishing to take part in the trainings can register by clicking this link and completing the online application form.
It should be noted that citizens of Azerbaijan who have reached the age of 18 and have a command of English can apply for participation in cybersecurity trainings. Candidates will take part in a three-stage selection round consisting of online registration, testing and interview. Sixty people who successfully complete all the stages will be eligible to participate in the trainings.
The trainings will be conducted free of charge for six months by teaching staff of the Israeli Technion University. The trainings will be conducted in English and will take place in person at the Azerbaijan Cyber Security Center 5 days a week, 8 hours every day.
In the first stage of the programme, participants will be taught the basics of cybersecurity, computer networks, operating systems and programming. In the second stage, participants will be involved in specialized trainings on “attacking” (Red Team) or “defending” (Blue Team) sides. In the last stage of the programme, participants will further improve their knowledge and skills by completing practical tasks based on scenarios developed from a real-world working environment on specially designed platforms. Participants who successfully complete the training programme will receive a certificate from Technion University and become a cybersecurity specialist.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center was established in accordance with the agreement signed between the Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Israeli Technion University. In the next 3 years, the centre plans to train more than 1,000 local specialists in the field of cybersecurity.
