Baku, September 20, AZERTAC Vice Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania Aušra Bilotienė Motiejūnienė and Lithuanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Egidijus Navikas have met with Rector of the Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU), Professor Garay Garaybayli. During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state of and prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the field of healthcare and medical science.Garaybayli highlighted the international accreditation of educational programs, newly opened specialties at the university and the modern laboratories. He noted that student and teacher exchange would be beneficial for both countries. Aušra Bilotienė Motiejūnienė said that Lithuania is ready to contribute to the modernization of the medical education system in Azerbaijan. The sides also discussed the training of the medical personnel, as well as exchange of students and teachers between the two countries.
