“Today, the full secondary school in the village of Aghali in Zangilan district was opened. The first bell was rung in the liberated regions of Azerbaijan after a pause of 30 years. This is a very proud historical event. I would like to express our deepest appreciation on behalf of the education workers of Azerbaijan to the Azerbaijani army and Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev for giving us this day. I would also like to remember the martyrs who fell victim for the sake of liberation of our lands from occupation. May they rest in peace and our war veterans get well”, Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, told a regional correspondent of AZERTAC at the opening of the school in Aghali village.
“Unfortunately, we have faced the subversion of Armenia on the eve of this day of knowledge and we were saddened to see our martyrs. But in any case, the developments show that it is extremely important for Azerbaijan to be strong and always think about its security and future. This, without any doubt, goes through science and education. It is not accidental that our first class today on the day of knowledge started with such slogans as “Karabakh is Azerbaijan” and “Martyrs never die, homeland is never divided”, the minister said.
Emin Amrullayev stressed that the school in Aghali has more than 60 students now. However, the process of movement of people to the village is still underway and it is planned to provide children of people, who work in different entities in the village, with education in this school. In all, the school is designed for 360 students and the number of students is expected to reach 80-90 in the days to come.
Saying that a total of 14 teachers are employed in the village, the minister added that teachers from different regions of Azerbaijan, as well as this village, were involved in the education process in Aghali. “It gladdens us to see that more than 800 teachers applied to work here in a recruitment contest. They include those teachers who gained high points. It is a prideful and gladdening fact that our young teachers enthusiastically take part in the education process in the liberated lands of Azerbaijan. We met with our teachers who came from Baku, Zagatala, Gadabay, Yevlakh, Ganja and Hajigabul. Everyone understands that this is a first and historical event. Therefore, there is big responsibility”, he said.
The minister said that the process of construction of schools is going on in the liberated lands of Azerbaijan under the appropriate decrees of President Ilham Aliyev. “The schools in Shusha and Aghdam will have been ready by the end of this teaching year or even earlier. I am sure that the first bell will be rung there in the next teaching year. Each of them is a big school for 960 students. We have almost started the latest stage of the process of constriction of schools in Jabrayil and Fuzuli. The school in Sugovushan settlement will also be ready after repair. The process of preparation for the construction of a vocational lyceum in Fuzuli is about to finish and the designing of Shusha Real school has already been completed. Each of these projects is grandiose per se. At the same time, the infrastructure of these schools are quite different. I hope that we will witness the opening of schools with a greater pace like tens or hundreds of schools every year. All these events are naturally very prideful. The instructions of our President are fulfilled successively in order to restore the education infrastructure of Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur and bring life of education back to these areas. I believe that this process will be finalized by the opening of more schools and the involvement of more students in education shortly,” Emin Amrullayev added.
