Baku State University, Ghent University of Belgium discuss prospects for cooperation

The Baku State University (BSU) has hosted a meeting with representatives of Belgium's Ghent University.
During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for cooperation between the educational institutions.
Head of the Turkish section at the Department of Translation, Interpreting and Communication at Ghent University Johan Vandewalle provided an insight into the educational institution he represents. He said that Dutch, French, German, Italian, English, Russian, Turkish languages are taught at the Department of Translation, Interpreting and Communication at Ghent University.
Head of the international relations department of BSU Rauf Hasanov highlighted the directions of the cooperation of the university. Dean of the Faculty of Philology Elchin Mammadov and Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Aydan Khandan informed the guests about the courses and languages taught, as well as researches conducted at the university.
Expert in Oriental languages and culture of Ghent University Linda Gezel, representative of the Azerbaijani Embassy in the Kingdom of Belgium Taleha Hasanli, deputy dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of BSU Nigar Ismayilzade, head of the Turkish Philology Department Rufat Rustamov and head of the Department of Turkology Ramiz Asgar also attended the meeting.
