George Enescu International Festival kicks off in Romania

The annual George Enescu International Music Festival has started in Bucharest, the capital of Romania.
Famous classical musicians from 37 countries of the globe arrive in Romania to perform in the concerts held during the festival. The 18th edition of the George Enescu International Competition is split into four dedicated sections: cello, violin, piano, and composition, and takes place in three stages, both live and online.
The event will last until September 18.
The George Enescu Festival is Romania's largest classical music festival, one of the largest in Eastern Europe, and it has a high profile internationally. It honours the memory of Romania's best-known composer George Enescu.
