Hungary hosts 7th Kurultaj of Hun - Turkic nations

On August 12-14, the 7th Kurultaj of Hun - Turkic nations, which is considered one of the largest traditional events in Europe, was held in the Bugac, Hungary, with the participation of representatives of 27 Turkic peoples. The International Kurultaj, embodying the unity of the Turkic world, was also celebrated with enthusiasm in other Hungarian cities of Budapest, Kecskemét and Siófok.
President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva addressed a congratulatory letter to the participants of the Kurultaj. The letter reads: "I am sure that every Turkic person participating in the Kurultaj feels great pride because they are a follower and part of a culture based on millennia. Demonstrating examples of the national culture of the Turkic peoples at the Kurultaj also plays an important role in the promotion of our material and spiritual values in the European space."
The President of the Foundation congratulated President of the Hungarian Turan Foundation András Biro and everyone who worked on the organization of the Kurultaj, which is extremely significant in strengthening the unity and equality between the Turkic peoples: "It is important to organize such interesting, resounding events and proud moments in the different corners of the Turkic world, including Bursa and Shusha, Turkestan and Osh, Samarkand and Merv. Thus, as Turkic peoples, we will once again remember our glorious past, take a look at our present, draw strength and move hand in hand towards a bright future."
At the same time, the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation acted as a supporting organization for the 7th Kurultaj. As part of the cooperation of the Foundation and the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Hungary, honored artists of Azerbaijan Nuriyya Huseynova, Gochag Asgarov, Kamran Karimov, tar virtuoso Arslan Novrasli, performer of kamancha Elnur Mikayilov and the "Odlar Yurdu" dance group participated in the Kurultaj. The performances of the artists, reflecting the rich music of the Turkic World, were met with big interest and accompanied by applause.
