FC Qarabag hammer Hungarian Ferencvaros 3-1 to reach UEFA Champions League play-off

Azerbaijan’s FC Qarabag have advanced into the UEFA Champions League play-off stage after defeating Hungary’s Ferencvaros 3-1 in a return match of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round at the Groupama Aréna stadium in Budapest.
Just seven minutes into the opening, Qarabag’s attacking midfielder Kady Borges assisted on Abdellah Zoubir’s opener. Ibrahima Wadji scored a brace (54’, 78’) for Qarabag in their 3-1 win against the Hungarian team.
Adama Traoré provided an assist to Marquinhos in the 86th minute who scored a consolation goal for Ferencvaros.
The Aghdam Horses were held to a 1-1 draw with Ferencvaros in the first leg match held at Tofig Bahramov stadium in Baku on August 3.
The play-off matches will be held on August 16-17, while the return matches will take place on August 23-24.
