Shusha, July 22, AZERTAC Organized by Azerbaijan’s Media Development Agency (MEDIA), the International Media Forum on "Global trends, new challenges in media" marking the National Press Day, has kicked off in Shusha.First, the national anthem of Azerbaijan was performed, and the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Motherland, was honored with observing a minute of silence.Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev read out the congratulatory message of President Ilham Aliyev to representatives of the Azerbaijani media. The event featured the screening of a video highlighting the 147th anniversary of the establishment of the national press of Azerbaijan. The Forum will also feature panel sessions on “Transition to new media journalism: convergence and new opportunities", "Media ethics: professional behavior of journalists in digital environment", “Traces of Shusha in Azerbaijani press”, "Prospects for international cooperation of Azerbaijani media" and etc. The forum brings together representatives of media, experts, and officials of Azerbaijan, as well as foreign media representatives.
