An Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker Sahiba Gafarova has paid an official visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
At the Heathrow Airport, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova and Azerbaijani delegation were welcomed by the Azerbaijani Ambassador to the UK Elin Suleymanov and other officials.
The delegation includes head of the Milli Majlis working group for the Azerbaijan-UK inter-parliamentary ties Soltan Mammadov, MPs Rafael Huseynov, Afat Hasanova and Anatoly Rafailov, Chief of the Milli Majlis Staff Farid Hajiyev and other officials.
Speaker Sahiba Gafarova will meet with the chairmen of the House of Commons and the House of Lords of the UK Parliament and other officials as part of her visit.
The current state of and prospects for development of inter-parliamentary relations, expansion of cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats and other issues will be discussed at the meetings.
The visit will last till July 13.
