More than 3 million refugees return to Ukraine from the EU
Baku, July 12, AZERTAC
European Commissioner for Internal Affairs Ylva Johansson said that from 3.2 to 3.7 million Ukrainian refugees reside in the EU. In total, 6.7 million Ukrainians crossed the EU border, but about 3 million of them have already returned to their homeland, according to AKI press.
At a press conference following an informal meeting of EU Interior Ministers in Prague, Johansson said that 3.5 million people have returned to Ukraine, while 3.7 million have registered for asylum in the EU.
"Some of the registrants could already return, someone could register twice in different EU countries, that is, there are difficulties here," the European Commissioner explained.
