Teymur Rajabov beats Ding Liren at FIDE Candidates 2022

Azerbaijani grandmaster Teymur Rajabov has defeated Chinese Ding Liren in Round 12 of the 2022 FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament in Madrid, Spain.
After 12 rounds, Rajabov scored 6 points.
FIDE Candidates 2022 is one of the most important events of the year as the world’s chess elite compete for a chance to dethrone the invincible Magnus Carlsen and win the 2023 World Championship title. Eight players compete in a double round-robin tournament (14 rounds), with a final tiebreak in case of a draw, and a €500,000 prize pool.
