Ruddy Shelduck - unique bird that belongs to duck, goose and swan family Anatidae

The Ruddy Shelduck live in couples or in the form of small flocks. The color of their body is reddish-yellow, head and upper section of their neck is straw color. There is a black ring on the male’s neck in winter. Their wings are long, feet and beak are black.
Birds are found along Azerbaijan coastline of the Caspian Sea in all seasons of the year.
Main nesting and wintering areas are the Gizilaghaj State Natural Reserve and Shirvan National Park.
