European Cyber Sports Championship to be held in Baku as part of TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan

Europe’s strongest cyber sports athletes will compete at the Rocket League stage in Baku.
Registration has begun for the Rocket League stage of the European Cyber Sports Championship to be held within TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan Aerospace and Technology Festival, which will be held for the first time in Baku on 26 – 29 May this year, jointly organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey.
The organizers of the international event are the cyber sports federations of Europe and Azerbaijan. In addition, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan provides organizational and financial support for the international tournament.
The Rocket League stage of the European Cyber Sports Championship will be held at Baku Crystal Hall. According to the national qualifying round of the competition, Azerbaijani citizens over the age of 16 are eligible to take part in the event.
CS:GO international tournament of the European Championship will be held in Romania on 5 – 6 July this year, eFootball – in Montenegro in August and DOTA 2/Free Fire – in Albania on 20 –25 September.
It should be recalled that Azerbaijan has already hosted a major international cybersport tournament. Thus, in 2014 Baku hosted the 6th eSports World Championship (6th eSports World Championship 2014, Baku). Over 300 cyber athletes from more than 30 countries took part in the tournament.
The prize fund of the Rocket League stage, which will be held in Baku on May 26 –29, is $15,000.
The deadline for applications is 1 April 2022.
