Azerbaijani schoolchildren wins silver at international Olympiad in Informatics

Azerbaijani schoolchildren have succeeded in an international knowledge contest once again. Fidan Huseynova, a 10th grade student of Ganja Physics, Mathematics and Informatics Lyceum under the direct subordination of the Ministry of Education, gained a silver medal in the 13th International Autumn Tournament in Informatics organized in Shumen, Bulgaria. Overall, 168 schoolchildren from 15 countries took part in the Olympiad held on November 24-29.
“Azercell Telecom” LLC, which always supports projects aimed at the development of education in the country, also has a great role in this achievement of the Azerbaijani schoolgirl. Thus, the preparation for the International Olympiads in Informatics has been carried out since 2017 on the basis of a cooperation agreement signed between the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and “Azercell Telecom” LLC. Distinguished students prepare for the International Olympiads in Informatics in special centers with the support of Azercell and demonstrate their knowledge in international arena.
It should be noted that since 2017 with the support of “Azercell Telecom” LLC, a proud partner of the Ministry of Education and the National Olympic Team in Informatics, Azerbaijani students have successfully participated in international Olympiads and competitions, winning 26 medals, including 1 gold, 7 silver and 18 bronze.
