Baku, April 1, AZERTAC Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade has attended the joint session of the Board of Directors and the Council of Parties of the KAICIID Dialogue Center held in a video conference format.KAICIID Secretary General Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muaammar, members of the Board of Directors and the Council of Parties representing the founding members of the Center - Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Austria, Prince Abdullah bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Director General for Political Affairs in the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs, Ambassador Gregor Koessler, Deputy Head of Mission of Spanish Embassy in Austria Miguel Alonso Berrio and President of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue Cardinal Miguel Ayuso Guixot joined the online event. The meeting featured discussions on several important issues, including the Center`s management system, development strategy for KAICIID, presentations on international intergovernmental coordination matters as well as expansion of the membership and etc. The issue of enlargement of the KAICIID Council of Parties’ member states was also on the agenda. Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade was unanimously re-elected a member of the Board of Directors of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID) for the next four years.Addressing the meeting, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade conveyed the sincere greetings of Muslims of Azerbaijan and Caucasus to the participants. Emphasizing that efforts being made to implement KAICCIID projects and initiatives despite the pandemic, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade also highlighted the work done by Azerbaijan in this regard. The meeting participants hailed Azerbaijan’s contribution to the promotion of inter-religious dialogue and cooperation worldwide.KAICIID, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue, as an intergovernmental organization was founded by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Spain and the Republic of Austria. The Holy See is KAICIID`s founding observer. The main aim of the Center is to promote the interreligious and intercultural dialogue to prevent and resolve conflicts.
