Fire broken out in forest area due to Armenian artillery strikes put out
Baku, October 29, AZERTAC
“Armenian armed forces continue shelling Azerbaijani dense residential territories, civilian facilities, including private and apartment buildings, and households using heavy artillery installations and rockets, as well as committing ecological terror in a gross violation of the humanitarian ceasefire,” Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Emergency Situations told AZERTAC.
“As reported, fire broke out in the forest area as a result of heavy artillery strikes by the Armenian armed forces on the territory of Goygol district that is far away from the combat zone. Despite the difficult mountainous terrain of the area, thanks to the efforts of the relevant forces of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations involved for firefighting, the fire was prevented from spreading to a wider area and dense forest being extinguished in a short time,” the ministry said.
Note that the Ministry of Emergency Situations operates in an enhanced mode at the moment. Please, immediately call the “112” hotline of the Ministry in case of any emergency.
