Hikmat Hajiyev: We consider Charlie Hebdo’s targeting President Recep Tayyip Erdogan unacceptable and strongly condemn it
Baku, October 29, AZERTAC
“Provocative acts of Charlie Hebdo magazine on Islamic religion, the Prophet of Islam is an insult to the sacred feelings of all Muslims all over the world, and is a blow to the efforts of intercultural and interreligious dialogue that our modern world desperately needs,” said Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev.
Hikmat Hajiyev said: “It is not the first time that Charlie Hebdo commits acts of hostility against religious beliefs. With its Islamophobic activity the magazine, in fact, abuses freedom of speech, press and promotes hatred, religious discrimination and violence.
“We consider Charlie Hebdo magazine’s targeting President of the brotherly Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan unacceptable and strongly condemn it,” the presidential assistant noted.
