Kyrgyzstan sets to elect new president on January 10

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kyrgyzstan decided on Saturday that early presidential elections will be held on January 10, 2021, Xinhua reports.
President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov resigned on October 15 after violent protests in Bishkek following the October 4 parliamentary elections.
According to the Kyrgyz legislation, after the resignation of the president, early elections should be held within three months.
The CEC has annulled the results of the October 4 elections.
