Baku, October 20, AZERTAC

The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi held a telephonic conversation with his Azerbaijani Counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s all-out support to Azerbaijan over the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.

Talking to Azerbaijan’s foreign minister, Qureshi exchanged views on Pakistan-Azerbaijan bilateral relations, the ongoing tensions between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh region, and other issues of mutual interest.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan is deeply concerned over the deteriorating security situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

The foreign minister said that heavy shelling by the Armenian forces on the Azerbaijani rural population is reprehensible.

The minister said that Pakistan stands by the leadership and people of Azerbaijan in this difficult time.

The foreign minister appreciated the support extended by Azerbaijan for unarmed Kashmiris in all International forums including the OIC Contact Group.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed gratitude to Qureshi for Pakistan’s full support in the conflict.
