Ambassador reaffirms readiness to support expansion of relations between Indian news agencies and AZERTAC VIDEO

Baku, November 20, AZERTAC

“We are ready to support AZERTAC’s relations with Indian news agencies,” said India’s Ambassador Vanlalvawna Bawitlung as he met with Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) Aslan Aslanov.
They noted the importance of cooperation among news agencies as the two countries closely interact in multiple areas. They hailed relations between AZERTAC and the Indian Embassy.
Aslan Aslanov noted that AZERTAC was also a member of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) along with India’s two news agencies PTI and ANI. "Although we maintain certain relations within OANA, we need to lift this collaboration to the level of partnership."
They discussed prospects for cooperation between AZERTAC and the Embassy, as well as training programs for journalists in India, and exchanged views over the challenges of modern journalism.
