Ali Naghiyev attends meeting of CIS Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services

Head of Azerbaijan`s State Security Service Ali Naghiyev has participated in the 47th meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of the CIS in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan.
Addressing the event, Naghiyev said that despite the elimination of major terrorist strongholds in Syria and Iraq, efforts to revitalize religious extremist and terrorist groups still represented a serious threat to international security.
On the sidelines of the event, Naghiyev and his Uzbek counterpart Abdusalom Azizov signed a Cooperation Agreement between the security services of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
