Azerbaijan, Turkey hail expansion of migration cooperation

Chief of Azerbaijan`s State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov has met with a Turkish delegation led by Deputy Minister of Interior Affairs Ismail Catakli to discuss prospects for the migration cooperation.
Vusal Huseynov highlighted the historical roots of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey and irreplaceable role of the heads of state in strengthening the bilateral ties. He said the two countries` close ties positively influence on developing relations among the Turkic-speaking states.
The chief of the State Migration Service told of measures undertaken to simplify the migration legislation in the country for attracting foreign tourists. Vusal Huseynov noted that the abolition of visa regime for Turkish citizens would contribute to the strengthening of the bilateral ties.
Turkish Deputy Minister of Interior Affairs Ismail Catakli stressed the importance of implementing the joint projects. He also noted the significance of developing relations in the field of migration.
The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
